When I read which airline company was deemed as having the worst food, I wasn’t surprised — or even the least bit phased. Spirit Airlines, the company that will even charge you for your soul’s occupancy on its planes, has the worst food known to (traveling) mankind and Delish just documented the travesty that is their in-flight food offerings: Combos, Pringles and Cup of Noodles. They also serve the saddest of beers, Bud and Miller Light. If you rather not subject your palate to Spirit’s bland menu, it’s best you book a flight with Virgin America. With great in-flight entertainment, it only makes sense that the airline serves meals from Dean and Deluca, offering a variety of high-end salads, wraps, fruits and vegetables to choose from. Laverne Cox Slays Paying Homage To Tina Turner, Beyoncé And Tracey Africa
Before she makes her debut as the lead in the latest version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 20, Laverne Cox got glam for Cosmopolitan and slayed her campaign, channeling her idols Tina Turner, Beyoncé and Tracey Africa. Published in Cosmo’s October 2016 issue, in addition to a fabulous photo shoot, Laverne shared what each iconic woman means to her and her personal journey in life. On Tina Turner: “Her story is the story of so many black women who’ve endured abuse and come out the other side.” On Beyoncé: Her work ethic is like nobody else I’ve ever seen. There were so many moments when I was shooting Rocky Horror and I’d be exhausted. My body would be hurting and I’d be like, ‘Beyoncé. Beyoncé does this.’

#DarrenSeals: Ferguson Activist Darren Seals Found Shot Dead Inside Burning Car
Darren Seals, a well-known activist involved in the Ferguson, Mo. protests after Michael Brown‘s death, was found shot dead inside a burning car early Tuesday morning. The news sent shock waves through Twitter with some suggesting there is some manner of foul play at hand. The St. Louis American reports that Seals worked in a factory in town and was a Hip-Hop musician. The publication noted that Seals was a vocal proponent of justice on behalf of the slain Brown and managed to become a national figure in the process. Since the protests in Ferguson have largely cooled, Seals’ name hasn’t been prominent in the media of late but that didn’t dull his involvement in activism. The American added that Seals recently shared a Facebook Live video in where he had a tense encounter with Ferguson police.
