Oh Tasia…
Fantasia Cancels Charlotte “All Lives Matter” Concert
Remember when we told you that Anthony Hamilton QUICKLY distanced himself from an “All Lives Matter” concert organized by Fantasia???
Well luckily for him, the concert’s been canned and Fanny’s now trying to explain why she opted to have it in the first place.
According to Fantasia who posted an 8-minute Facebook Live video, the concert wasn’t just for black people—it was for whites and Latino people as well.
“God laid it on my heart to do this,” said Fantasia. “It wasn’t just about music. I don’t know if people were coming out thinking they were going to hear my songs, but what they were really going to hear was worship. They were going to hear worship and prayer and poetry reading and strong men coming together to see if we can pull in our men. Not just only black, not just only white. People were out protesting today, it wasn’t just white people. It was black people, it was Latino people.”
According to Fantasia however, all is not lost and she plans to do the concert next week.
“We’re still going to do this! We’re gonna do it next week,” said Tasia.
She also issued a statement furthering her statement that “all lives matter.”
“I understand that our people are still in poverty and we’re not getting certain things that we deserve. I understand that, but the only way we’re going to get it is not through tearing up buildings,” she said while sitting next to her husband, Kendall Taylor. “Two thousand years ago, Jesus ended the debate on which lives matter. He died for all us. All of us. Martin Luther King stood for love and unity for all people. United we stand, divided we fall. Let’s all stand together. So black lives matter, yes they do. All lives matter.”
Fantasia is failing to see that the “all lives matter” movement was formed simply as a dismissal to the Black Lives Matter movement. No one is discounting white lives Fanny the Granny…
