In celebration of what would have been Michael Jackson‘s 58th birthday, Spike Lee, the honorary mayor of the Republic of Brooklyn, is pulling out all of the stops for the sixth annual Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson block party. This Saturday, August 27th, all of BK’s faithful Jacksonites will descend upon a gorgeous stretch of Stuyvesant Heights on Stuyvesant Ave, between Quincy and Lexington, for an all-ages party, hosted by Uncle Spike and Sway Calloway.

Music will be provided by the incomparable DJ Spinna, beginning at noon and capping off at 6pm. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, there’s no better way to spend a weekend afternoon, dancing and lolling in cool summer breeze, an extension of MJ’s eternal glow. Peep the promo clip down below and caravan the whole family down to BK for the celebrations. Michael Jackson’s legacy deserves nothing less.
