Hopefully by now you’ve had the opportunity to soak up the nostalgic sci-fi goodness that is Netflix‘s Stranger Things series. It took the world by storm and had many of us couch-locked for the summer’s most binge-worthy show, centered around the mysterious happenings of a small town in Illinois. Even its’ soundtrack has proven to be a synth-soaked blessing.

But now that you’ve gotten through the eight-hour stretch of excellence and had time to develop your own theories as to Eleven’s whereabouts and what exactly “The Upside Down” is, you’re probably ready for today’s big announcement: that Stranger Things has been renewed for a second season, slated to arrive in 2017. Netflix made the announcement this morning with the unveiling of a little teaser, just to spike your blood pressure.

No details have been revealed just yet, but it appear to be time to sound the alarm, as we may soon know what happened to Barb. If you’ve yet to indulge, we simply can’t recommend it enough. Just be prepared to for several evening of strict devotion. You’ll have to peel yourself away when all’s said and done.
