Ohio Bigot Steps Down From Trump Campaign After Spewing Ignorant Mess

Meet Kathy Miller, the former chair of Donald Trump’s campaign in Mahoning County Ohio, who put her ignorance on full display when the Guardian chose to interview her for their Anywhere but Washington series.

In the interview Miller exclaims that racism did not exist before Obama was elected… but she doesn’t stop there. Other choice words include:

“If you’re black and you haven’t been successful in the last 50 years, it’s your own fault. You’ve had every opportunity, it was given to you,” she said.

“You’ve had the same schools everybody else went to. You had benefits to go to college that white kids didn’t have. You had all the advantages and didn’t take advantage of it. It’s not our fault, certainly.”

Miller also called the Black Lives Matter movement “a stupid waste of time” and said lower voter turnout among African Americans could be related to “the way they’re raised”.

Miller has since apologized for her “inappropriate” comments and stepped down from her role in Trump’s campaign. Isn’t that so comforting?

Considering that there are a ishtload of people in Ohio (and elsewhere) who probably feel just like Miller, we’re not all that relieved.

BTW, the look on the Guardian reporter’s face is PRICELESS as he listens to her bullisht responses.
