Chaz Bundick, or the artist sometimes known as Toro Y Moi, has worn many hats since his 2010 debut, Causers Of This. Heβs dipped into house as Les Sins, dabbled in electronic experimentation as Sides Of Chaz, and now heβs got another new groove, poised to bring you the atmospherics you didnβt even know you needed as PLUM. Yesterday he revealed his debut single for a forthcoming ambient music record in βNew Globe.β Clocking in at nearly eight minutes long, the track is a sedative synth exploration soaked in soft, warm beds, inspired by composer Laraaji.
For now, it is Bundickβs single offering as PLUM, but donβt be surprised if thereβs even more to explore in the weeks and months ahead. You can hear βNew Globeβ down below and pick up a copy of it via Stones Throwβs shop as a tape or CD. Gotta love those physical formats.
