Flourishing out of Hub City is a charismatic rapper with a penchant for battling, bars and building bridges. Buddy, born Simmie Sims, is getting some nationwide love from the entertainment scene as he just had his song, “Shine,” premiered on Carl Chery‘s #TheCoSign show on Beats 1.
Already backed by the one, the only Pharrell Williams after being introduced by Scott Vener (Entourage music director) — the two have crafted collaborations with Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar. On “Shine,” Buddy does exactly that with the lyrical dexterity of a rapper twice his age.
Don’t let me hold you from pressing play on Buddy’s next evolution. As the college-educated rapper is building up his sounds and making his presence felt, we’re happy to present “Shine” for your earholes. Have fun and be sure to follow this ‘I Am Other’ otherworldly performer on Twitter @Simmie_Sims.
Stay tuned as we present more music from Compton’s own rhyme-spitter!
