Ezekiel Elliott’s Salvation Army Stunt Lead To Big Increase In Donations
‘Tis the season for giving and one of the best things you can give to any human is a f**k…
All anyone in the sports world can talk about this morning is Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott’s charity-inspired touchdown celebration during last night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Considering the NFL’s reputation for being the “No Fun League” many wondered whether or not Zeke would have to cough up some coin to the league office for his lil’ stunt.
However, someone high up the food chain must have decided it would be a bad look to dip their hand in the rookie’s pocket for showing support to a charity. Although that deviates widely from the stance they took when it came to fining Steelers running back Deangelo Williams for promoting breast cancer awarness in honor of his late mother, but we digress.
Even though I will not be fined I still will be making a donation to the @SalvationArmyUS pic.twitter.com/AMJ1gSuse3

TMZ is also reporting the since the now-famed kettle leap, donations have been rolling in by the…$21’s
We spoke with Salvation Army spokesperson Lt. Colonel Ron Busroe who says the entire organization was pleasantly surprised by Zeke’s stunt — everyone at the office has been talking about it nonstop!
As for the donation boom, Lt. Colonel Busroe says, “From 8:10pm to 10:30am this morning there was a 61% increase in online giving from the same time frame last Sunday night.”
They also state that many of the donations have been $21 as a nod to Ezekiel and his philanthropic exuberance.
This is great. We hope the NFL uses this as an example that if they let the athletes express their love of the game more freely, that they just might get some MUCH-needed good P.R. out of it. Imagine that.
