Rich Gains isn’t here for any of your kudos, your congratulations or whatever. He doesn’t need a pat on the back for making that music that separates your spine from your neck. Instead, the man who is one-half of the production duo known as Blended Babies continues to tirelessly work on leaving a Grand Canyon-sized mark on the music game. Which is why, today, we’re excited to premiere his latest cut, “Freedom,” featuring longtime collaborator Asher Roth, Jonathan Chapman and Leon Q. Allen.
“We make music so that we don’t go crazy,” Gains said in a bio press release. The feeling is there as the jam knocks in every way imaginable. Dipped in soulful boom bap, with mixtures of color, futuristic hip-hop and some rich hues of blues, all grounded in live instrumentation. As we continue to journey with Rich Gains and his multi-instrumentalist approach to crafting the songs we love to hear in our speakers — press play, enjoy and listen intently as he with his cohorts cry out for freedom on the appropriately named cut, “Freedom”.
Witness creativity in full scope, as Rich Gains drops “Freedom” from his self-released project, entitled Gains.
