Hey NYC, it’s time for you to rejoice. Dave Chappelle has announced three consecutive nights of performances next week at Gramercy Theater. An intimate and preferred venue of Chappelle’s, the comedian’s performances will mark his second residency-styled showing at Gramercy in just as many years. The shows will run from August 29th through September 1st, all with doors opening at 8pm and showtime hitting at 9pm. If you’ve never seen the mythical unicorn of comedy in-the-flesh, this could be your shot. Otherwise, you can just hope with the rest of us that he’s finally putting together a follow-up to 2004’s For What It’s Worth. Possible, sure. But not likely.

Tickets go on-sale this Wednesday, August 24th via Ticketmaster. But don’t expect it to be a cheap date. Last time Chappelle landed in NYC (roughly this time last year) stubs could be acquired for no less than $100. Hit the link below to get the jump. Be warned, however. As we’ve previously reported, there is a very strict no-phone policy at Chappelle’s shows. So be sure to leave them in the car or face being swiftly ejected from the premises.
