Over the years, Esta (of the mighty Soulection crew) has churned out some of the most distinctly potent remixes that have passed through the halls of OKP HQ. He’s flipped the chart-topper after chart-topper, often making them that much more bearable and offering us replay value that exceeds their original incarnations. Late last night he did it again, sending up a remix of Miguel‘s 2012 breakout ballad “Adorn” to his highly-trafficked Soundcloud page (which is certainly worth an hour or twelve of perusal,) ripe and ready for your summer rotations, flaunting island vibes with a deeply-infectious dancehall riddim underscoring Miguel’s affectionate swells.

The track arrives ahead of a grip of forthcoming live dates this later on this summer, including a stop in Denver on August 12th to rock the Queen City Festival, as well as sets at both the Brooklyn and London installations of Afropunk Festival on August 28th and September 24th, respectively. Hear Esta’s remix of Miguel’s “Adorn” down below and see if you can’t shake this thing off. Jump back to hear his recalibrations of songs from Fetty Wap, not to mention his contribution to Soulection’s brilliant Sade remix compilation.
