Last week, HYPEBEAST celebrated Pokémon Trading Card Game’s 25th anniversary with a rollout of various activations, including two pop-ups, a tramcar takeover, wheat paste posters, and a special capsule collection that spotlights the iconic Base Set Charizard.
The highlight of the celebrations was the BELOWGROUND pop-up at Hong Kong’s LANDMARK, Central, on October 22, where a full “Pokémon Center” was constructed. The space opens up to a full Charizard LED column, and housed a range of features that include a Pokémon 25th-Anniversary infinity mirror photo backdrop, official massive Pikachus, sticker vending machines, a Poké Ball wall, and gachapon machines.
