Remember Myspace? Well, Odd Futurian Tyler The Creator not onlyhad one but also had some music posted to the once popular social media site. Going by the name of I Smell Panties, Tyler dropped six tracks to his Mysapce page. The songs were recorded back in 2008. A Reddit user made a post to the site re-bringing the songs/demos to the attention of fans. Check out the thread here. Some of the tracks are titled “Bapes Freestyle,” “Bapes,” “Lilo Fucks Stitch,” and “Lisa.” The songs aren’t too great, the lyrics are out of pocket, they’re rough and weird. But they do feature a fascinating insight into the development of Tyler’s music. You can hear the musical seeds, if you will, be planted before they fully blossomed into what Tyler The Creator would become and is today. A few weeks back Tyler dropped a Madlib produced track titled Batman. Listen to it here. Previous to that Tyler dropped the trailer for an upcoming documentary about the making of his third studio album Cherry Bomb. Peep all six tracks uploaded to young Tyler’s Myspace page by clicking here or stream a few of the songs/demos below.
