Chance The Rapper stopped by BBC Radio 1‘s Huw Stephens show for a holiday special. Chance shared tracks by Jackson 5, Kanye West, Donny Hathaway, DJ Rashad, and his own track “Merry Christmas” feat. Alex Wiley. Chance spoke about his amazing year but pointed out how bad the year was overall in terms of the deaths of multiple stars and the current political landscape. He named his performance at the ESPYs honoring the passing of Muhammad Ali as one of the highlights of his year. Chano is nominated for an impressive seven Grammys for his latest mixtape Coloring Book, which became the first streaming-only album to make it on the Billboard 200 charts. Last week Chance was the musical guest on SNL and did a hilarious Run–D.M.C. sketch honoring President Barack Obama. Chance also performed the songs “Finish Line” and “Same Drugs” and brought out fellow Chicago MC Noname. Listen to Chance The Rapper on BBC Radio 1 below.
